We know how devastating losing a beloved pet is. It is such a deep loss, and we do not have many venues to honour our pets, or express our grief. It is our hope that our free memorials will help you to do just that, and to help you begin your grieving and healing.

Meika |
Date of Loss: September 1, 2009 Age of Pet: 14 Type of Pet:: dog
Yesterday we lost our dog of almost 15 years. She was only months old when we got her from the local shelter. She was always spunky and full of energy. Even after she had surgery in 2006 to remove a large tumor from her leg, she was still full of life. Yesterday seems like a dream. I keep looking down and expecting to see her there. My 3 year old keeps asking where Meika is, and it's so difficult to tell her that Meika won't be coming home because she is in heaven. I know that the pain will never completely go away, but it feels as if a part of me was ripped away. R.I.P. Meika till we meet again.

Eric my darling pale ginger boy; you gave us nine wonderful years after your rescue as a scruffy stray. After treatment from the vet and lots of TLC you became stunningly beautiful. You were always nervous but were so very loving and you have left indelible pawprints on our hearts. It is now 18 months since you left us, but you will never be forgotten. When inoperable cancer was diagnosed, we decided not to wake you from the anaesthetic. All cats are unique, but some are more unique than others. Till we meet again. Debby & Peter. xxxxx

Date of Loss: 8/17/09 Age of Pet: 11 Type of Pet:: dog

In memory of my beautiful, sweet girl Maggie May. We lost her to an agressive thyroid tumor four days ago. She was the love of my life and I hate living without her. She was one of a kind and could never be replaced. I have cried every day since you left us but I know some day I will see you again. I take comfort in the fact that you are not suffering anymore but you have left a huge hole in our hearts. There are no words to describe how much you are missed sweet girl. I think of you every day and I will never, ever forget you. Love you always.

Oso |
Date of Loss: 8/11/09 Age of Pet: 8 Type of Pet:: dog
My sweet baby Oso crossed the Rainbow Bridge 8/11/09 at 5:53pm. He came into my life suddenly 5 years ago, abused and left to fend for himself. Oso was a l5 pound black and white Pomeranian that was more human than dog. He went EVERYWHERE with me 24/7 as he was certified in therapy and my employment is in elder care. When I took him to the vet for his 1st visit I was concerned because thought I had heard a slight heart murmur. I was right....my angel with fur had congestive heart failure. We had the most amazing 5 years together I have ever experienced. At this moment my heart is breaking. The sorrow is so immense I don't feel like doing anything. I have lost many over the years. Family members, friends, divorce after 23 years and numerous pets.....this time is like nothing I have ever felt. My grief is in control at the moment, I only wish I could ease the pain...... my arms ache to hold him and my soul wishes to gaze into those loving brown pools that held only total and unconditional love for me. He was my "heartbeat" AND I MISS HIM DREADFULLY. We fought the battle and tried our very best with the loving support from the most incredible vet in the world, but some battles are too much as this one turned out to be. Oso loved life, people, little children, other dogs, cats (yes, I said cats!) and the elder population as well. His spirit was so happy. He loved adventures, of any kind, from a walk down the street to taking a trip to the ocean to his monthly visit to the children's ward at the hospital. He wore MANY different costumes to visit the kids..never once did he try to take them off BEFORE we saw the kids, but the INSTANT we were out of sight and on our way home..... "GET THESE OFF ME NOW!!! PLEASE, WAG, WAG. His undying love for me was unmatched, as all who came in contact with us would comment.
My sweet, beautiful baby left almost as suddenly as he entered my life. He got very ill 8/8/09, panting, coughing, edema in his abdomen....shot helped for about 2 - 3 hours this time instead of a recovery from severe symptoms. At 4:30pm 8/11/09 I knew with horror that he was not going to make it....off to the vet unannounced again...this time we did not leave together as we always had in the past. My baby was too tired and i knew it. I held his little head in my hand and stroked him, looked into those magnificent brown pools and told him how very much i loved him. I was strong, no tears in front of my little soldier, but as soon as i got to my car the void and loneliness was already ripping my heart out, I have been crying for three days.......i miss him so

Date of Loss: 27-7-09 Age of Pet: 2 Type of Pet:: dog

My little girl brought so much happiness into our lives even though she was only here for a short time. We bottle raised her when mum rejected her and from that day on she was my little shadow. She did so many things that made me laugh every day like prancing around the house with her toys and her little bark that shook her whole body! Black as boot polish she was a beautiful little staffy that loved people, not so much dogs except my big boy Marley. The last 6 months saw her diagnosed with Meningitis a nasty disease that i researched fiercely but found few straight answers. We battled through sleepless nights and endless drugs and vet visits and every day she tried so hard for me but it became too much for her little body in the end i had to let her go. I love u and miss u so much it hurts, but u r free from all those drugs and pain and now forever chasing those pesky birds in the sky! Rest in peace Minnie mouse! xo

Copper |
Date of Loss: 07/25/09 Age of Pet: 5 years Type of Pet:: cat
Copper was my cat for 5 years. I got him when he was 6 weeks old and raised him. He had one of the best personalities ever. He had all sorts of weird quirks that made us laugh. He loved to sleep under blankets on our bed, he loved to eat cereal (his favorites were cheerio's, frosted flakes and Special K), and he loved to get an occasional lick of my son's formula. He always wanted to be near us and he would paw at doors to get our attention if we were outside. Copper loved to play and cuddle as well. He will always have a special place in our families heart. He is missed so much and will never be forgotten. He died after being sick for only 3 days of kidney failure after getting a urinary blockage. I know he is in a better place now and is no longer suffering. All day I have been holding the blanket that he used to love to sleep on and I held him in it as he was put down. Rest In Peace our friend. We will always love you.
