We had to put down my beloved horse, Bucca, on July 17th of this year. It was a freak accident. The paddock was wet and he was running and he slipped and fracture his left hind leg.. There was nothing the vet could do for him otherwise he would have been in surgery that night. He was my best friend and my pride and joy. My family was on their way to the barn but the vet had to do it right away. I refused to leave his side through the whole thing. I wasn't going to let my baby be surrounded by complete strangers. I wanted him to know that I was sorry and that I loved him. He taught me so much and his death continues to teach me. I love and miss you every day baby boy. Rest in peace my handsome guy.

I lost the love of my life this past Saturday. I had to take her to the ER vet and she was in allot of pain, I knew that she was old and slowing down, but your never prepared to lose any one that you love so much. She was my best friend and always there with me. I know that she is in a better place now and is running and playing with all the other pets that have crossed over the rainbow bridge. I love you Mollie and miss you so much.

On Friday, August 13th, I had to make the decision to end my Plaidie's misery. She had been ill for eight months with hyperthyroidism and her age was against her. The medication caused her to stop eating and the vet was able to give her a little more time with a cortisone shot and an IV drip. The medication was switched to an ear application and helped for a while but she had lost teeth due to old age so eating was difficult. She had lost weight and hardly ate or drank the last week of her life. She left this world on Friday the 13th and was cremated on August 17th. I just received her ashes and it made me realize that's all that is left of my Plaidie. It's so quiet without her since she was so vocal when she was hungry which because of the illness was all the time. At least she is not suffering any longer and for that reason I know I made the right decision.
Plaidie--I miss you and I'm sorry that you never got better.

Bear (Finnegan) your life was way to short because of a rare disease that noone could have predicted. Though you were only with us a few short months and taken from how so quickly, we loved you with all our hearts and will miss you everyday. I know the life you have now is much better than the one you had on this earth. I lost Sara 6 months ago and then you cam in to our life and 3 months later I lost you. Sara my precious puppy of 16 years,we miss you very much also, but Bear is just a baby, please watch over him and let him know that we loved you both sooooooo much. Bye Bear my precious little angel. Tears are still coming

Yesterday I had to make the choice to end the suffering of my little Ragdoll, Dakota. He was suffering from chronic kidney failure, and had gotten to the point that he could no longer eat or drink. I knew I had to help him go when he looked at a bowl of tuna juice and just couldn't drink it. He was so frail and miserable. I took him to our beloved vet and he said the only humane thing left to do was to give him peace. I held my best friend in my arms and looked into his eyes and kissed him on the head while he took his last breath. We are devastated at our house and I don't even want to go home anymore because that little body won't be coming out of hiding to sit with his mommy all night. God please protect our animals and let us see them again one day. I feel like I will never get over this loss...

Toby was a loyal and loving little dog who never thought of himself as a dog. He was just another member of our family.

Our little ben bubbles.We were very sad to have to part with yesterday,our hearts are broken,and everywhere we turn you are there.How we are going to cope without your loving face will be a task for us,but we have pleasure in saying we brought you home at 8 weeks old knowing you already had been in 5 homes and pushed from pillar to post.When you came to us we hoped you and "tanzy" would get on and you were the best of friends until a year later we lost her,but you had lovely walks to the river together playing ball.
Then last june "flynn came to live with us and once again you took to him and let him share you toys and eat your favorite "rodeo's".We will remember our special holidays at the lake district and how you loved the water.We know when we are in the garden you are with us as your first morning call was a tour round the garden and a look at the rabbits,so until we meet you again,we want you to be with tanzy,and be happy our darling little man and to always remember we loved you to bits and will treasure our memories of you.Night nightans god bless you.
